The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
